Helene Førde is an artist based in Bergen. She has a Master in Fine art from Bergen Academy of Art and Design, 2014, and finished the 2 year sound art program Nordic Sound Art the same year. Førde is an interdisciplinary artist who works with installations and sculptural works, often with sound as an integrated part of the work, and many times with movable and mechanical/technical elements. She also works with performance, choosing varying materials and techniques, but a general feature of her work is that she uses a site sensitive or context sensitive approach. Her works are often exploring our perception, awareness, sensations and memories, in addition to the distinctive story and character of a space. This is done with diverse means, from executing minimalistic interventions to creating more encompassing spatial experiences. Førde has the last years been exhibiting in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany and Italy. She also works as a curator.
