Andrea Laquidara (Messina, 1976) is an independent film-maker and documentarist. He directed (amongst other works) Il tempo di guardare. Il tempo di vedere (Appunti per un documentario sulla Bosnia Erzegovina), Fuori dalle mura (Audience Award, Visual Festival, Rome, 2015), and Non ora (finalist, Lanús International Film Festival, Buenos Aires). He teaches Film History at the Università degli Studi di Urbino “Carlo Bo”, within the Professionisti del linguaggio cinematografico: critica, regia, didattica dell’immagine in movimento MA programme. He holds a PhD in “Culture umanistiche, curriculum Studi interculturali” from the Università “Carlo Bo”; his PhD thesis was entitled En plein air. John Ford e Jean Renoir inquadrano la Wilderness. He is the founder and coordinator of Fuori tempo, a direction lab, and serves as the artistic director of L’intervallo fra le cose. I luoghi della narrazione cinematografica festival.
